CAP Debt Help

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is an international charity based in Bradford.

Holy Trinity Ashby, supported by many others including churches, civic groups and individuals, have partnered with CAP to form the CAP Ashby de la Zouch Centre.

The Services we currently offer are: the CAP Money Course, managed by Katie Johnson and CAP Fresh Start groups managed by Lynda Flower. A CAP drop-in also takes place on Thursday mornings at the Pathways Cafe, offering support with job-seeking, form-filling, signposting and further information about our services.

CAP Debt Help is a free, award winning service, provided to people in their homes. Over three home visits, an affordable budget is created for each client. Clients can then make one monthly payment covering arrears, debts and savings. All negotiations with creditors are undertaken by CAP Head Office, who continue to provide friendly, ongoing support to clients until they become debt free.

If you need the life changing help that CAP Debt Help can bring, please go to capuk.org or phone 0800 328 0006
*Please note, we are not taking on new Debt Clients at this time in Ashby. Please do call CAP to be signposted to our nearest service, or offered a Self Help Pack, posted to your home.

CAP Debt Help costs over £24,000 a year to run. This money, given by so many, means that we can help up to twenty-four new client households a year. If you would like to support the work financially, look for the green "Become a CAP Ashby Supporter" forms at the back of Holy Trinity or speak to Katie Johnson for more details.

It would not be possible to run CAP Debt Help without the support of those who give financially and volunteers who give their time or pray or to support our work. For more ways to get involved, please see our CAP Prayers or CAP Support Team pages, or speak to Katie for more information.
