Exam Season

The exam season is now upon us from SAT’s already been taken or in the process of being taken whilst I write this and the start of GCSE, AS and A level exam season. This time of year, it is frantic with exams and testing throughout all age ranges. So many things hang on these results from university places, college places and the self determination to do well. Our young people are continually working hard to make progress and we need to support them through the power of prayer during this time.

We need to think about supporting our young people through this period, allowing them time to revise but also making sure they also have time to relax, have fun and see friends. Some of our young people will find this season overwhelming and find it a real struggle to study because of the range needs they have. We need to have these young people in our thoughts and prayers.  During this time our young people can struggle to find time to pray, come to church, be mindful of what they need to do and how they can achieve it. They can become emotionally stressed by the smallest of things, we need to pray for our young people and let them feel the peace of Lord and relax during exam time.

So, I say this again, don’t forget to pray for them, I know it seems a no-brainer! But gathering together, in groups or even individuals, keeping the young people of our congregation in our hearts and minds through this busy season. Some of our young people will sit many exams, lift them up to the lord.

Philippians 4:6-7:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
