Get Involved

We're inviting people from our community, to help us grow flowers and food for our community.

We'd love to hear from you if you're interested in getting involved this year.

Unfortunately, we are experiencing tech issues with our old Google Group mailing lists, which (due to recent changes at Google) can't be resolved. If you have previously signed up, please can we ask you to take a moment to sign up again on our new platform, if you'd like to hear from us.

Going forward, we will be using three mailing lists on a new platform to help us stay in touch with our supporters and volunteers. You are welcome to subscribe to two or three mailing lists, if more than one are of interest to you.
 

The Garden Room Volunteers:

This is our main volunteers mailing list. It is intended for those who are interested in actively being involved in practical ways with The Garden Room community gardening project. You’re in the right place, if you are interested in volunteering in our growing spaces (our allotment or the secret garden at Holy Trinity), helping with things like garden-related construction or table top creative projects, or helping with our community events (baking cakes, serving refreshments, running the plant stall) etc.

We will be emailing more regularly, to let you know about a range of volunteering opportunities.

Sow Good:

This list is for those wanting to sow seeds for The Garden Room at home, or donate other young plants they have grown (but not wanting to hear frequently about other opportunities to help). We’ll get in touch at various points in the year, to offer you opportunities to get involved at home, by sowing seeds or donating your spare plants.

TGR Newsletter:

We send out a quarterly newsletter four times a year (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) which includes a more general update about the life and work of our project - and dates of upcoming community events. Out emails may include general invitations for people to get involved, but without the nitty gritty detail. This is the right list to be on, if you’re interested in staying in touch with The Garden Room as a friend, supporter or donor and want to find out about our public community events and hear some of the stories from our work, without getting more involved in our growing spaces, or helping us from home.
