Celebrating New Life

At Holy Trinity we love to welcome people to the family of God. One way we do this is by welcoming families who bring their young children to be baptised (Christened).

A Personal Connection

We would love to arrange for parents from our church family to contact you via Zoom at a time that works for everyone concerned.

They will be able to introduce themselves and get to know you a bit. They then will be familiar faces when you attend the online preparation evening and also on the day of your child's baptism.

The Preparation Meeting

In order to prepare parents for the baptism of their child, we host a meeting to discuss the meaning and purpose of baptism in the Church of England, the significance of the promises you make on behalf of your child in a baptism service and to answer any questions you might have. The evening will take place in person and will be led by our Vicar Tim Phillips.

The evening will run from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Please note that attending a baptism preparation meeting is a requirement for all families wishing to have their children baptised at Holy Trinity Ashby. Your child's baptism service date remains provisional, until the baptism preparation has been completed.

Attending a Sunday Service

We would love you to be able to visualise what will happen during your child's baptism service, and to meet the church family that you are bringing your child to be a part of. You would be most welcome to join us for any 10.30am Sunday service. Please note our 5th Sunday services will be at a different church within our Flagstaff family of churches. Please contact the church office to check.
