About Us

Fig Tree is a new church community, which is being planted by a small team from Holy Trinity Ashby (part of The Church of England.)

If you’re exploring the Christian faith for the first time, or the first time in a long time, or have recently moved here and are looking for a church you can call home (and might be up for an adventure with a new church plant) we’d love to meet you.

At the heart of who we are and what we do:

We’re committed to following Jesus and doing life together.

In a community where there are already a number of local Christian churches:

We want to be the church, with people who don’t do ‘Church’.

As part of following Jesus and doing life together, we’re committed to hosting places to meet and eat, helping bring light in the darkness and - as we try to follow wherever God leads us - choosing a life of adventure.

If standing up and sitting down in rows on Sundays doesn’t connect, or simply doesn’t work, we might just be the kind of church you could be looking for.
