Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal  

Before 1st November, and the earlier the better, might you prepare a Shoebox to go to help people in need in Eastern Europe?  In 2025 Holy Trinity Ashby sent 250 Shoeboxes!  A list of what is needed is on the website at trinityashby.net/shoebox.

Link to Hope, established in 1991, is a Christian Charity rebuilding lives and communities in Eastern Europe through Education and Social Care particularly amongst the Elderly and Children. However, at Holy Trinity, Link to Hope is probably best known for the annual Family and Elderly Shoebox Appeal which we have generously supported for many years. 

Each shoe box must contain items deemed essential and then other items are chosen dependent upon whether the shoebox is destined for a family or elderly person. A wide range of items is suggested and the challenge is to find items that you would like to receive without being too expensive. You can have great fun looking for bargains. In addition, each shoebox has to be covered by a £3 cash donation to help cover delivery costs.

In November 2025, Trinity sent 250 shoeboxes! Completed shoeboxes must be handed over by 1st November – the earlier the better.

Flatpack shoeboxes can be provided to individuals or small groups who are interested is supporting the 2026 Appeal, just contact Ken Garner. The leaflets can be found at the back of church.
